Hiya. Here’s a bit of news for ya!

-The Eclectic Moniker‘s debut album is out now, produced and mixed by yours truly and Aske Bode.
It went almost straight to no.1 on the iTunes download chart on the first day, so let’s hope it stays there for a while! We are very happy about the album, and hope you’ll check it out. Buy it here.

-Just finished mixing and co-producing the debut EP of Polypotion aka the talented Nina Baun and Magnus Hylander Friis. The duo just uploaded them on their Bandcamp, so give it a listen.

-And finally, the 2nd album from Caution! Art Kills! is out on iTunes. This was recorded almost two years ago to the day, but still sounds very fresh to my ears. Hope you’ll enjoy it as well. It’s Christian Windfeld on drums, Thomas Sejthen on bass, and myself on piano. Aske Bode recorded and mixed it (nicely!).

So, lots of news!
Working right now with Aske Bode on producing and mixing the upcoming debut from The Eclectic Moniker. If you don’t know this band, you’re missing out. The first single just came out today, so go to iTunes and get your copy! We think it’s pretty awesome, AND so does danish radio P3, who chose it as this week’s ‘Ugens Uundgåelige’.

Also out today is Farven Fornem‘s single ‘X’ from the album I produced and mixed during the summer.

Last but not least, When City Sleeps‘ EP is out now, which was mixed and mastered in Pinligtavshed. Aske recorded the vocals on all tracks, and mixed 4 of the songs, and I did the opening track, ‘Danger Zone’. Check it out, it’s a fine collection of songs by the talented Dan Hjernø.

Yep, it’s true. ‘Endurance in Christmas Time’ is 8 new tracks together with 5 tracks from the EP’ ‘Uncomplicated Christmas Songs’ released in 2009. Produced by Aske Bode, and mixed by me. - Head over to Farven Fornem’s myspace to hear a track, ‘X’, from the upcoming album, which I produced and mixed. It’s a pretty nice track, IMHO.

- Still working on Forgotten Fields on Fire’s debut-album. It’s beginning to take shape, I think. Juuust about halfway there…

- Getting ready to mix a bunch of songs by this dude Jonas, whose music is sort of ‘hymnal’ (is that a word?)..

- Come october, and Aske Bode and I will start working on the upcoming EP from alternative-pop’ers, When City Sleep. Sort of a Death Cab for Cutie/The National/Kent-vibe going on there. Pretty neat.

-Considering bying the Elektron Octatrack Already own the Monomachine and Machinedrum, but hey, ‘the trinity’ sure would look great in the studio.

..Was it ever really there? I have my doubts. I’ve started mixing the Forgotten Fields-album. Exciting music, indeed. Those choruses will sweep you away! After that, there’s a couple of EPs coming up, buuuut I won’t reveal whose music it is yet. Let’s just say, we’ve shared paths with both bands before. Really looking forward to that also. Oh, and bought myself a new little toy, the Korg Monotribe analogue synth/sequencer. It’s pretty!

Finished the Farven Fornem-album which I produced and mixed. I took a while, and we’re all very happy with the result. Mikkel Gemzøe will be mastering it this thursday. It’s a dark sounding journey that takes you through so many places and states of mind. Think Interpol meets The National meets Moderat meets Medina(?), or something like that:) Hopefully, the band will put out a few teasers of the final versions once the album returns from Mikkel.
Also, Aske and I pretty much have recorded all of the Forgotten Fields-album, that we’re doing. Yeah, we’ve been busy. Summer holiday? Naah.. That album will also blow your mind. Think Beatles meets Elliott Smith meets Oh No Ono meets Elvis. Ok, maybe not Elvis then. Look, it doesn’t matter, these guys can write tunes like few others. Seriously. Have a listen for yourself soon…

Pinligtavshed

..is upon us. Right now, I’m in Pinligtavshed (our studio) with the band, Farven Fornem, putting the finishing touches on their upcoming album.
We started out the production around march, and hope to finish it within a couple of weeks. It will be a very special album, I’m sure! Below you can hear a little ‘bootleg’ of where we’re going..
Also, Aske and I are working with Frederik and Jakob aka Forgotten Fields on Fire, recording/producing/mixing their debut-album, which will be something else, I can assure you. We just finished one week of recording drums, guitars and bass, and will be carrying on next week.
Oh, I could mention some cool new gear we got too, but for once I won’t bore you with that..!
